Dr Panagiotis Giamougiannis is a Consultant Gynaecologist and RCOG & ESGO-accredited Gynaecological Oncology Surgeon with extensive international experience in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of benign and malignant gynaecological conditions. He specializes in minimally invasive, robotic, and advanced oncological surgery, providing personalized, evidence-based care for women with complex gynaecological diseases.

Dr Giamougiannis earned his medical degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and completed specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the United Kingdom. He holds the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), subspecialty accreditation in Gynaecological Oncology from RCOG/ESGO, and is an Intuitive-certified robotic surgeon (Da Vinci Xi). He currently practices at IASO Hospital in Athens and also serves as an Honorary Consultant at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust in the United Kingdom.

Throughout his career, Dr Giamougiannis has developed extensive expertise in the surgical management of ovarian, endometrial, cervical, and vulvar cancers, as well as complex benign gynaecological conditions. His practice includes robotic surgery, laparoscopic surgery, colposcopy, and fertility-preserving procedures, with a strong emphasis on minimally invasive techniques that promote faster recovery and improved patient outcomes.

Alongside his clinical work, Dr Giamougiannis is actively involved in academic medicine and research. He completed a Doctor of Medicine (Research) focused on innovative diagnostic methods for ovarian cancer, has received multiple international awards for research and teaching excellence, and is the author of numerous peer-reviewed scientific publications in gynaecological oncology.
