Dr Ioannis Anastasiou Kornezos is an experienced Consultant Radiologist with over 20 years of clinical experience in diagnostic imaging. He specializes in advanced radiological diagnostics, including computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), angiography, and interventional radiology. His approach combines precision, evidence-based medicine, and modern imaging technologies to support accurate diagnosis and effective patient care.
Dr Kornezos graduated from the University of Crete School of Medicine and completed postgraduate studies in Interventional Radiology, graduating with distinction. He also pursued doctoral research at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, focusing on the role of inflammation in carotid artery atherosclerotic disease.
He completed his Radiology residency at Tzaneio General Hospital of Piraeus and received advanced clinical training at Aretaieio University Hospital, where he gained extensive experience in computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and angiography. Throughout his career, he has served as a Consultant Radiologist in several major public hospitals in Greece, including Agrinio General Hospital and Tzaneio General Hospital. Since 2022, he has been practicing as a Consultant Radiologist at Affidea Piraeus, one of Greece’s leading diagnostic imaging centers.
Dr Kornezos has extensive expertise in diagnostic imaging and image-guided procedures, providing high-quality radiological assessments that support the diagnosis and treatment planning of a wide range of medical conditions.
