Dr. Kollintzas is a fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon with extensive experience in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of spinal disorders in both adults and children. His clinical practice covers the full spectrum of spinal conditions, including spinal trauma, revision spine surgery, scoliosis, and complex spinal deformities. He is dedicated to providing evidence-based, patient-centered care tailored to each individual’s needs.
After earning his medical degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Dr. Kollintzas completed his surgical training in General Surgery before specializing in Orthopaedic Surgery at KAT Hospital, Greece’s largest orthopaedic center. He subsequently completed an advanced fellowship in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery at Campbell Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee (USA), where he developed extensive expertise in scoliosis and complex spinal disorders.
Upon returning to Greece, Dr. Kollintzas joined the Spine Unit at KAT Hospital, the country’s leading public center for spinal surgery. Throughout his career, he has focused on advanced surgical techniques for spinal disorders and has played a pioneering role in the adoption of minimally invasive spine surgery in Greece. He was among the first surgeons in the country to routinely perform the Minimally Invasive Transforaminal Lumbar Interbody Fusion (MIS TLIF)technique.
Today, Dr. Kollintzas provides specialized spine care in both public and private healthcare institutions, offering modern surgical and non-surgical treatment options for patients with simple and complex spinal conditions.
